I always hated those Simples because the only people I saw wearing them back then were hippy college students, but seeing footage of Gonz and Julien skating in them makes me wonder if they were any good.
I just pulled out a pair of white leather/gum soled OG lynx I had in my closet. A while back, I used to check ebay all the time for cheap lynx and I found this pair in WOMENS 10 and copped em. haha, one of the best purchases I've made. I skated them yesterday and they were MAGNIFICENT. (and I've been skating mostly Vans lately) Got a little footy in the gems too. I'm hyped.
Forties ads were pretty artsy and almost never featured any skating, although I do seem to remember a choice Reese Forbes f/s flip. If I find that one I will scan it, but yeah, for the most part the ads were just art-based, no skate photos or pictures of their clothing.

I ran those with the toe deal, and the other black ones with the white heels.
They were good.
there are certain things no one can redeem or make look good. Simples can definately be filed under that category. DC syntax also included!
jinx fool!
Haha, I had the Syntax when they first came out. They sucked.

Did Forties clothing ever run any good ads? I wish I had a copy of that Amigos video. One of the best.
