I think that this might have been the last series of Menace ads before the name changed to All City. While these ads are great and definitely graced my bedroom wall back then, I think I prefer the earlier ads which were heavy on the lifestyle aspect, like those memorable "Menace 9d5" ads. I don't remember Steven Cales or Lee Smith having an ad in this series, but I could be wrong.

siiick. I like the new banner, you're going to be feeling the new shirts that we have in the works!
I had all these on my wall too. I bet 100% of these ads were bails. Menace just had it like that.
"video coming soon..."
I had most of these on my wall too. This was my favorite series of ads.
Jesse - Nice. I do like the "9d5" ones a bit better, although they are a bitch to scan because of the white background - if the page is a bit crinkled or whatever it makes crazy shadows.
Fuck-yeah, these ads were dope. Yes, I too had all of these up on my wall.
A friend of mine had a banner with all of the riders out-lines.
Anyone have the Chalk-line series of boards from 96?
I think most of these ads were layed out by Jef Hartsel. you can see his "manafest" tag on the bay block in nunez's ad. which was a little window into Hartsel's future project Shaolin .
meow - Good call. The tag is also visible in Fabian and Billy's ads. I had no idea that it was related to Jef Hartsel, thanks for commenting.
no worries. I forgot all about that till i saw this post. He's in Hawaii chilling doing his thing and still skating painting and djing. you can catch him on this Hawaii skate site http://hirollingmedia.com/
