There was a pretty comprehensive thread on the SLAP message boards awhile back which included this Thrasher interview from 1993 and many more photos and ads. I think that Julien Stranger is probably the most unanimously loved skateboarder ever.

Do you have his Transworld interview? I remember that one being realling interesting.
econobeer - If you look through the SLAP thread I linked to I think someone might have posted it there. I unfortunately don't have that issue of Transworld.
